A Smiling Salamander
We love a fuzzy farm animal as much as the next person. But when it comes to creating costumes, we think it’s time to branch out and find cute creatures from other corners of the animal kingdom! We’ve designed dinosaurs, fish, bugs, and birds, and now it’s time to dip our toes into the pond of amphibians.
Of course, frogs are probably the most famous of this group, but we’ve recently discovered a creature that might be even more adorable than our little green friends. The small pink axolotl has quickly stolen our hearts with their perpetual smile and fuzzy gills. If you need a fresh animal costume for your next party, we highly recommend dressing up like this smiling salamander!
Design & Details
Our Adult Axolotl Costume was crafted with care by our in-house designers. The fuzzy jumpsuit is made from pink cuddle plush fabric, with a zipper down the front to make changing easy. A stuffed tail trimmed with darker pink fabric is sewn to the back, and rib-knit cuffs on the ankles and wrists ensure a comfy fit.
In our opinion, the attached hood really steals the show. It features large black eyes on the front and three external gills on each side. The gill stalks have poseable wire inside to help hold their shape, and feathery trim in a bolder pink color adds the finishing touch. We hope you’ll smile as wide as the adorable salamander itself when you wear this charming costume!
